Framlab is an architectural research and design studio based in Bergen and New York City. Fueled by technology and optimism, we create objects and spaces for better futures.
The studio was founded by Andreas Tjeldflaat to help drive systemic change in response to pressing social and environmental issues. By combining product design, architectural design, and systems thinking approaches, we are able to rigorously investigate and effectively respond to complex challenges.
Fram means forward in Norwegian. It is also the name of explorer, Roald Amundsen’s ship - the first to reach the South Pole. But we digress, it sums up our mission neatly: moving things forward.

PS. We also edit a newsletter about things that caught our attention each month: Framgong. Give it a go, no?
